The Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Hike-Bike-Run Opening Ceremony and is 1.4 miles in length (takes approximately 2 hours). The guided tour will visit such sites as Langdale Mill, Sears Hall, The Iron Bridge, Langdale Cemetary, The Cotton Duck, LaFayette Lanier School & Auditorium, the Boy Scout House and other places of interest. Battle of West Point Re-enactment – April
Re-enactment of the Confederate War Battle at the historic Fort Tyler site in West Point GA.
Great Chattahoochee Duck Race – April
Everyone is invited to purchase a numbered rubber duck. All ducks are released into the Chattahoochee River in West Point at the same time and the “owners” of the first ducks to arrive downstream win cash prizes. Duck “tickets” may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce.

Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. All funds raised are dedicated to research, education, service programs and advocacy on behalf of cancer patients, survivors and care-givers.
West Point Adventure Jam Day – September 11, 2010
This year’s event includes 3 – 5 miles of trekking, 13 miles of mountain biking, 2 miles of canoeing, and of course all-new mystery events. All proceeds will go to the West Point Riverpark, a new green space under development along the Chattahoochee River . Bring the family and enjoy pizza and prizes after the race.
The Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens – November 6, 2010
Known as the “event of the season,” and always falling on the first Saturday in November, Steeplechase brings family and friends together to watch thoroughbred horses race over timber and brush hurdles in the beautiful rolling hills of Callaway Gardens, highlighted by the beauty of autumn.
Fantasy in Lights – November 21 – December 31, 2010
More than a dozen lighted scenes, many animated and all with their own special music, create a holiday experience that is unforgettable. Visitors may drive through the light show in their own vehicle or ride the delightful, open-air Jolly Trolley. Trolley riders are treated to a stop at the Sibley Horticulture Center, which is decked out in stunning holiday decor. Fantasy In Lights includes Callaway Christmas Village where the holiday spirit abounds with costumed characters, live entertainment, artisans demonstrating their skills, delicious food, unique gift booths and, of course, Santa Claus.
